Kala Fleet

Medical & lab logistics

Specimens, samples and clinical supplies.Moved with a record behind every handover.

Medical, clinical and laboratory transport across California on Kala Fleet vehicles — STAT runs, scheduled lab routes and cold-chain deliveries handled by drivers trained for the load.

Bay Area biotech, diagnostic labs, clinics and hospital networks rely on timed collections, temperature-aware packaging and a custody trail that stands up to audit.

Questions

Straight answers

What medical and laboratory items do you transport?
Patient specimens, blood and diagnostic samples, laboratory consumables and reagents, pharmacy and clinical supplies, research materials between biotech sites, medical devices and equipment for service or install.
Do you handle temperature-sensitive and cold-chain loads?
Yes. Ambient, chilled and frozen loads move in validated insulated packaging or coolers with data-logged monitoring, and the temperature record is handed over with the delivery paperwork.
How is chain of custody documented?
Every handover is recorded — named driver, timestamped pickup, GPS-tracked transit and signature or photo proof at drop. Records are retained and can be issued for audit or accreditation purposes.
Can you run scheduled daily lab routes?
Yes. Recurring STAT and routine collections between clinics, hospitals, draw stations and central labs run on fixed daily or multi-daily schedules on dedicated Kala Fleet vehicles.
Are your drivers trained for clinical material?
Drivers handling medical work are trained in specimen handling, spill response and HIPAA-aware discretion, and operate under documented handling procedures for each account.
Where do you cover?
Fremont, Newark, Hayward, San Jose, Santa Clara, Oakland, San Francisco and the wider Bay Area biotech corridor on our own fleet, plus onward California lanes. Longer US moves are arranged through vetted partner carriers.
